Coating Line Production Worker

General Job Description:

The Coating Line Production worker is responsible for helping to operate machinery to epoxy coat rebar. This is a production line position responsible for separating and loading rebar to be coated. This role ensures product quality and supports timely delivery to customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Separate and load rebar onto a conveyor table
• Ensure bars are loaded properly for efficient coating process
• Inspect bars for quality and whether or not the bars are coatable
• Work as a team with other coating line production workers for efficient loading of rebar and to help maintain line efficiency

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS:

• Miscellaneous shop duties when coating line is not operating
• Other duties as needed

HOURS WORKED:

• 40 hours per week - 10 hour shifts Monday-Thursday
• Mandatory Overtime as required seasonally.
• Fixed shifts - 1st shift 6 AM – 4:30 PM

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to stand and walk continuously.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull 25 pounds frequently and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Must be able to climb, bend, twist, reach, crouch frequently.
• Must have eye, hand, and foot coordination to operate in a safe and productive manner.

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT THAT MAY BE USED IN JOB: overhead cranes, forklift, cutters, hand tools, tags and bands, measuring devices, angle finder.

PPE required: Earplugs, safety shoes and glasses, gloves, hard hats.

MATERIALS AND PRODUCTS HANDLED: Rebar and paint.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Heat, cold, noise, vibration, fumes, and other potential work hazards.

Requirements:

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE/LICENSE REQUIRED or DESIRED:

• 6 months to one year, on the job training.
• Basic Math skills
• Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment is desired.
