Coating Technician - 2nd shift 3:30pm to 12am

Pay rate will increase to $20 an hour after meeting a satisfactory 90 day performance review.

Essential Job Functions:

· Perform daily maintenance on assigned thin film coating chambers.

· Intermediate operation to reset, load, and unload optical components along with operation of thin film coating chambers.

· Operate spectrophotometers for ensuring spectral performance to conform to customer specifications.

· Generate customer data and traces using spectrophotometer and software.

· Basic assembly and fixturing of tooling for job requirements.

· Communication with technical personnel for increased job efficiency.

· Ensure coating parameters match coating specifications.

· Ability to cross train and work in multiple production areas.

· Must be able to understand written work instructions and technical drawings.

· Basic data entry and organizational skills for tracking records.

· Communicate issues and consult with engineers and management for troubleshooting efforts.

· Obtain safety awareness and compliance while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Physical Activities and Work Environment:

Work may be active, could stand or sit for long durations and/or perform repetitious work at times. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 20 pounds. All objects heavier than 20 pounds will be lifted by a group of employees. Must be able to wear appropriate clothing and personal protective equipment such as but not limited to masks, glasses, gloves, and specialty garments. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and may be noisy at times.

Education:

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

Special Knowledge and Skills:

· Basic mathematic knowledge.

· Ability to shift quickly from task to task without compromising quality in production priorities.

· Good work ethic.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Proficient in basic computer software such as Microsoft Office.

· Able to focus on tasks at hand while communicating and working well with others.

· Able to interpret instructions and systematic procedures.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
