Summary

The HR Business Partner acts as a strategic advisor to department leaders, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives. This role focuses on talent management, employee engagement, and process improvement, while also supporting compliance and reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities .

  • Oversee the hiring process for all salaried positions.
  • Collaborate with departments on recruiting strategy and onboarding for all employees.
  • Plans and executes new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward Company goals.
  • Facilitate new supervisor training and orientation.
  • Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Coordinates management training in human resource related topics.
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Administers performance review and salary administration programs to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
  • Administers benefits and wellness programs such as life, health, and dental insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
  • Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
  • Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Maintains accuracy of the company organization chart via the HRIS system.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Oversee ADA accommodations and leave tracking.
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and systems.
  • Coordinates employee engagement events and activities.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Recruiting and interviewing skills; Phone and online meeting platform skills; Familiarity with relevant employment law; Professionalism, organization, and project management skills. Proven experience as an HR Business Partner with a strong understanding of HR processes and best practices.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in HR, Organizational Development, or related field; or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

Other Qualifications: SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred; Some travel required; Experience in Paycom preferred.
