CodeIgniter Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled PHP/CodeIgniter Developer who can independently handle projects from scratch, write optimized SQL queries, integrate APIs, and manage third-party integrations (such as payment gateways). The ideal candidate should have strong debugging and error-handling skills with hands-on experience in CodeIgniter 3 & 4.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using CodeIgniter 3 & 4.
• Design and execute SQL queries (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, SELECT, JOINs).
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in applications (error handling, bug fixing).
• Work with APIs for development, integration, and maintenance.
• Implement and manage third-party integrations (e.g., payment gateways, SMS/email APIs).
• Develop applications from scratch, ensuring scalability and clean architecture.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, project managers, and QA teams for smooth delivery.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Ensure security, performance, and code optimization in applications.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of PHP (OOP) and CodeIgniter 3 & 4 frameworks.
• Proficiency in MySQL with ability to write complex queries and optimize performance.
• Hands-on experience with APIs (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML).
• Experience in third-party integrations (payment methods, messaging services, etc.).
• Solid debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture.
• Knowledge of Git/version control and CI/CD is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
