Join us this summer at Edina’s new coding and makerspace center, Coder’s Clubhouse, and inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence in the next generation!
We are looking for engaging, responsible, and upbeat instructors to lead our hands-on STEM summer camps for students ages 9–14. This is an exciting opportunity to create meaningful, memorable experiences while helping students build real skills in coding, game development, robotics, and technology.
Each week features a different camp, and instructors can choose to lead one or multiple weeks based on their availability and expertise.
Important: Instructors must have experience or strong familiarity with the specific topic(s) of the camp(s) they are teaching.
Position Overview
As a Summer Camp Instructor, you will lead a week-long camp where students build, design, code, and explore technology in a fun, structured, and supportive environment.
Camps run Monday–Friday from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
Responsibilities Before Camp
- Review lesson plans and instructor guide
- Prepare materials, devices, and equipment
- Practice demos to ensure confidence leading activities
During Camp
- Lead engaging, age-appropriate STEM activities and projects
- Create a fun, structured, and inclusive learning environment
- Supervise students at all times and maintain a safe space
- Keep students on task, motivated, and supported
- Guide campers through challenges without doing the work for them
- Encourage creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving
- Manage transitions, breaks, and daily flow
- Foster positive relationships with campers through strong classroom management
After Camp / Ongoing
- Reset materials and devices for the next day
- Communicate with the Coder’s Clubhouse team about daily progress
- Help prepare for end-of-week showcases and celebrate camper achievements
- Communicate any important updates or concerns with leadership
Requirements
- Experience working with children (camp, tutoring, teaching, coaching, babysitting, etc.)
- Experience or strong knowledge in at least one camp topic
- Ability to lead a group while keeping the environment fun and structured
- Strong communication
- Positive, patient, and encouraging attitude
- Dependable and prepared
Schedule & Pay
- Monday–Friday, 8:30 - 3:30
- Flexible: teach one week or multiple weeks
- $16–$20 per hour, depending on experience

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
