Coffee Roaster

Job Overview
JM Dining Group is seeking a reliable and energetic Barista to join our team at the GAO Building café in Washington, DC. The barista will be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee beverages, maintaining a clean and organized coffee station, and providing excellent service to guests in a fast-paced professional environment.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality, takes pride in craft beverages, and works well as part of a team.

Pay

$19–$22 per hour depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso beverages, drip coffee, tea, and specialty drinks according to house standards
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other coffee equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station at all times
• Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all beverages
• Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Restock milk, syrups, cups, lids, and other café supplies throughout the shift
• Assist with light food service such as pastries or grab-and-go items when needed
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Support teammates during busy service periods

Qualifications

• Previous barista or café experience preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Friendly, professional communication skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
• Dependable and punctual

Schedule

Early morning and daytime shifts available.

Typical operating hours are morning through mid-afternoon, Monday through Friday.
