Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, smoothies, and light snacks with precision and care
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately
• Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering, basic math calculations, and balancing registers at shift end
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by following proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed
• Ensure the café environment remains inviting by restocking supplies, cleaning work areas, and organizing displays

Skills

• Proven experience as a barista or in food service within the food industry
• Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient sales processing
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Effective time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly while maintaining quality standards
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and sales transactions
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced café or retail environment
