Coffee Shop Barista

Compensation Summary for candidates who are available year-round. This is not a seasonal position.

1 Full Time or 2 Part Time position available.

Morning/Mid-day Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday; Must be available on the weekends.

During initial training, a flat $15/hr will be paid. Once training is completed:

• $11/hr - $13/hr Base Pay depending on availability and experience
• up to $1/hr Incentive Pay
• $2/hr Shift Differential for Closers
• $4-6/hr Tips

Job Summary:

The official duty of an Aroma Joe’s Barista is to serve high quality, specialty drinks and snacks fast and with a smile. Each barista must work well within the team to ensure that Aroma Joe’s Coffees’ extremely high standard for customer service is provided to every customer. Each barista knows all of Aroma Joe’s Coffees’ recipes, procedures and quality standards to make every drink in a timely and efficient manner. The barista anticipates questions and customer needs and focuses on every customer as an individual who deserves excellent service. Our Baristas are the customers’ friendly guide to a great Aroma Joe’s Coffee beverage or snack. The Aroma Joe’s experience starts with YOU:

Job Duties:
Essential functions:

• Embody our mission to "Positively Impact People" on a daily basis!
• Drink Making – Preparing quality drinks in the most efficient manner.
• Ability to provide help to customers and provide guidance with the menu and recipes.
• Employees must be able to follow and adhere to all cleaning assignments in store.

Qualifications

• Proven barista experience or similar.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to engage with customers
• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Strong time management and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of food safety and handling practices
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
