Coffee Shop Barista

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders, answering questions, and providing excellent customer service.
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness by regularly cleaning workstations, equipment, dining areas, and adhering to food safety standards.
• Assist with food handling and beverage preparation, ensuring all products meet health regulations and quality standards.
• Support team members during busy periods by managing time effectively and multitasking seamlessly in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Previous barista experience or food service experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours.
