Responsibilities

● Greet customers warmly, taking their orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Clover

● Navigate customers through the drink and food menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients

● Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of beverage size, coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)

● Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items with precision and care, ensuring consistency and quality.

● Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions, credit card payments, and process refunds with accuracy while maintaining proper cash handling procedures.

● Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality or safety standards

● Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations, seating areas, and equipment to meet food safety standards.

● Managing, stocking, and rotating inventory

● Verify brewing equipment operate properly and report any maintenance needs

● Support food handling and food safety protocols in accordance with health regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.

● Comply with health and safety regulations

● Ability to lift up to 30lbs

● Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items

Requirements

● Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred; familiarity with café operations is a plus.

● Experience with POS systems such clover (or similar) is desirable; strong basic math skills are essential for cash handling and retail math.

● Demonstrated excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities.

● Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

● Knowledge of food safety practices, food preparation techniques, and proper food handling procedures.

● Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours effectively.

● Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

● High school diploma

Pay: $8.80 - $14.00 per hour
