Cognitive and Dyslexia Skills Trainer (part-time)

Are you passionate about helping kids and teens overcome learning challenges? Are you looking for a rewarding, part-time role where you can truly change a student's life trajectory? Learning Foundations is searching for a remarkable, dedicated individual to join our team as a Cognitive Trainer!

About Us For over 50 years, Learning Foundations has empowered students of all ages to become confident, independent learners. We are a cognitive training and diagnostic center that uses cutting-edge, neuroscience-based programs to strengthen foundational cognitive skills. We help students with dyslexia, ADHD, auditory/sensory processing delays, and other learning challenges overcome roadblocks to learning in a safe, nurturing, 1-on-1 environment.

The Role As a Cognitive Trainer, you will work one-on-one with our students (from mild to severe learning challenges), delivering customized cognitive training and educational therapy. Because building a strong, consistent relationship with our students is key to their success, we are looking for candidates who are seeking a long-term role where they can grow and make a lasting impact over time.

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Education, Social Sciences, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: Previous teaching, childcare, or tutoring experience is a huge plus, but not required!

  • Summer: Approximately 15–25 hours per week. Student sessions are primarily scheduled Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
  • Weekends: Consistent Saturday availability is a huge plus for both seasons!

Why Join Us?

  • Unmatched Impact: Experience the incredible, rewarding feeling of watching a struggling student finally succeed and build self-esteem.
  • Paid Training: You will receive intensive, highly valuable therapeutic training in all of our research-based programs at no cost to you.

How to Apply Please apply with your resume and a descriptive cover letter. In your letter, be sure to tell us why you would be the perfect fit for this position, and highlight any customer service, teaching, or people-oriented experiences you have!
