COIN CONTROL MECHANIC

Job Title: Coin Controller Mechanic
Department: Service & Maintenance
Reports To: Service Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt / Hourly
Location: Elma, WA
Schedule: Full-time; may include occasional evenings or weekends as needed

Position Summary:

The Beverage Equipment Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of vending, fountain, and micro market equipment at customer locations. This position ensures all beverage dispensing and micro market systems are fully operational, delivering a high level of service and technical expertise to support customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Vending & Fountain Equipment:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues in vending and fountain machines
  • Install new beverage equipment and ensure functionality according to specifications
  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibration for quality assurance
  • Replace valves, nozzles, refrigeration units, pumps, and other key components
  • Educate customers on proper use and routine upkeep

Micro Market Technology:

  • Install and configure self-checkout kiosks, smart coolers, and other micro market hardware
  • Set up and troubleshoot internet/network connectivity for cashless payment systems and monitoring tools
  • Perform software updates, resets, and calibrations on micro market systems
  • Troubleshoot POS devices, touchscreens, cameras, and scanner systems
  • Collaborate with IT teams or vendors to escalate complex software/network issues
  • Ensure all micro market equipment is visually presentable and function efficiently
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and advancements in unattended retail technology

General Duties:

  • Respond promptly to service calls and document all repairs and maintenance in service logs
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
  • Keep company vehicle and tools organized and in good condition
  • Communicate professionally with customers and company personnel
  • Follow all company safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in equipment repair or technical field service (beverage, vending, or retail tech preferred)
  • Experience with POS systems, payment terminals, and/or IoT-enabled devices is a strong plus
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical skills
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and service documentation
  • Basic networking and computer literacy (Wi-Fi setup, IP configuration, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various environments

Work Environment:

  • Field-based work in customer-facing environments including retail, food service, office buildings, and warehouse locations
  • Exposure to electrical systems, refrigeration units, and digital interfaces

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.90 - $29.90 per hour
