Cold Room Technician – Chiller & Freezer Systems

We are seeking a skilled Cold Room Technician with hands-on experience in Chiller and Freezer systems, including condensing units, evaporator units, and control panel installations. The technician will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of cold room refrigeration systems, ensuring efficient and safe operation as per industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation, commissioning, and servicing of Cold Room Chiller and Freezer units.
• Installation and replacement of Condensing Units and Evaporator Units.
• Carry out copper piping works, including welding and brazing.
• Perform refrigerant charging, recovery, pressure testing, and vacuuming.
• Installation, wiring, and troubleshooting of control panels, thermostats, sensors, solenoid valves, and safety controls.
• Electrical connection of compressors, fans, heaters, and control components.
• Leak detection and rectification.
• Ensure proper insulation and sealing of piping and cold room components.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and breakdown service calls.
• Follow safety procedures and company quality standards.
• Prepare job reports and update work completion status.

Technical Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems (Chiller & Freezer).
• Experience with condensing and evaporator units.
• Skilled in brazing and welding of copper pipes.
• Good understanding of electrical wiring and control panel installation.
• Ability to read electrical and refrigeration schematics.
• Knowledge of refrigerants and refrigeration tools.
• Familiarity with cold room accessories (door heaters, controllers, sensors).

Qualifications:

• ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–5 years experience in cold room or commercial refrigeration works.
• Valid technical certification is an advantage.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to work night shifts and emergency call-outs when required.
• Good communication and reporting skills.

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
