Collaborating Physician — Telemedicine Support
Overview
We are seeking a Florida licensed physician to serve as a collaborating partner for a telemedicine organization delivering remote patient care at scale. This role focuses on clinical oversight, regulatory alignment, and strategic support for advanced practice providers (APPs), specifically Nurse Practitioners working within a virtual-care model.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical collaboration and supervision for nurse practitioners and physician assistants in accordance with state regulations and organizational protocols.
- Review and sign charts as required, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to evidence-based standards.
- Offer timely clinical guidance on complex or escalated cases.
- Participate in periodic (monthly or as needed) quality audits to strengthen consistency, safety, and operational reliability.
- Support protocol development and refinement across virtual care pathways (acute, chronic, preventive).
- Maintain documentation required for regulatory compliance in all applicable states.
- Join scheduled meetings to align on performance, quality metrics, and clinical workflow optimization.
- Serve as a clinical ambassador who reinforces best practices in telehealth delivery and patient experience.
- Collaborative Physician will oversee 3-5 Nurse Practioners at a growing telehealth company.
Qualifications
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license in the State of Florida.
- Board certification in a primary care specialty (family medicine).
- Strong understanding of telehealth standards, digital-care compliance requirements, and remote-care workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with APPs in a high-volume environment.
- Clear, timely communication style suitable for distributed clinical teams.
