Position Overview

The Collaborating Physician (Medical Director) will provide clinical oversight and medical collaboration for The Alchemy MedSpa, a luxury medical spa offering hormone replacement therapy, IV hydration, weight management, and aesthetic services including Botox and dermal fillers. The physician ensures compliance with Georgia Medical and Nursing Board regulations, provides medical direction as required by law, and supports the Nurse Practitioner’s clinical practice through regular chart reviews and protocol development.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the delegating and collaborating physician per Georgia Composite Medical Board and Board of Nursing guidelines.
• Review and sign the standardized protocols and standing orders governing clinical practice.
• Conduct chart reviews (minimum 10% or as required by the Georgia Composite Medical Board).
• Provide consultation and clinical guidance to the Nurse Practitioner as needed, available by phone, email, or telehealth.
• Approve and oversee treatment protocols for medical spa services such as:
• IV hydration and vitamin therapy
• Weight-loss programs (including GLP-1 agonists, phentermine, etc.)
• Hormone replacement therapy (HRT / TRT)
• Aesthetic injectables (Botox, dermal fillers)
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA standards where applicable.
• Participate in the development and approval of emergency and adverse event protocols.
• Maintain professional liability insurance and license in good standing with the Georgia Composite Medical Board.
• Provide oversight for prescription and controlled substances per DEA and state requirements.
• Participate in annual performance and compliance reviews of clinical operations.

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. with active Georgia medical license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in aesthetic medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or endocrinology preferred.
• Familiarity with non-surgical aesthetic procedures, hormone therapy, and medical weight loss programs.
• Strong understanding of Georgia scope-of-practice laws for nurse practitioners.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.

Compensation

• Monthly stipend or percentage-based agreement, depending on oversight level and service volume.
• Typical range: $500/month, depending on services supervised and frequency of review.

Schedule

• Flexible / Remote
• In-person visit or review as required by state law or business need (typically quarterly or semi-annually).

Additional Notes

• The MedSpa will maintain all required protocol agreements, chart review documentation, and collaboration logs on file as per O.C.G.A. §43-34-25.
• No on-site daily presence required unless specified by collaborative protocol.
