Collection / Recovery Officer (with Bike License)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Collection / Recovery Officer to join our finance team in the UAE. The role involves managing and following up on outstanding payments, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. Since the position requires direct visits to customers for payment follow-up and document collection, a valid UAE bike license is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow up with clients to ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.
  • Visit customers to collect cheques, cash, and other relevant financial documents.
  • Contact delinquent customers via telephone and in-person visits to recover outstanding payments.
  • Conduct field visits to customers’ premises to discuss payment issues and negotiate payment plans.
  • Update the accounting system with collection status and payment details.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in coordination with the finance team.
  • Prepare daily/weekly collection reports and submit to the Accounts/Finance Manager.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure smooth collection processes.
  • Assist in coordinating with the sales and operations team regarding overdue accounts.
  • Ensure all collections comply with company policies and UAE financial regulations.
  • Safeguard collected payments and ensure timely deposit into company accounts.
  • Follow company and legal protocols when dealing with non-cooperative or absconding customers.
  • Recommend accounts for escalation, legal action, or write-off where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (UAE Experience preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, recovery or a similar role.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); knowledge of accounting software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Valid UAE bike license (mandatory).
