College Admission Essay Reviewers/Teachers

American Study is seeking a skilled and passionate College Admission Essay Reviewers/Teacher to join our esteemed essay teaching team. This role involves working closely with students to transform their visions, stories, and ideas into polished, high-quality essays suitable for submission to university application committees. Our team boasts graduates from prestigious institutions such as UPenn, Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, and Yale University, all dedicated to helping thousands of students gain admission to top-tier universities.

Major Responsibilities:

• Provide timely and professional review and feedback for college admission essays and application components, including but not limited to: Personal Statements, Experience/Activities, Most Meaningful Activities, Secondary Application Essays, Statements of Purpose, Recommendation Letters, MD/PhD application components, Letters of Intent, Letters of Continued Interest, and Mock Interview Prep.
• Adhere to guidance and standards set by the American Study essay teaching team.
• Maintain regular communication with the American Study essay teaching team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent professional editing and writing experience from a prestigious institute (US Top 20 preferable). A graduate degree or prior experience with university admissions is beneficial but not required. However, applicants without prior editing and writing experience are expected to have a minimum of three years of university admissions experience.
• Proven ability to work independently while adhering to standards and meeting deadlines.
• Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, and Zoom, along with a reliable high-speed internet connection.

Note: Most of our students are in Vietnam Time Zone (GMT+7). Please keep this in mind for scheduling and communication purposes.
