Position Summary
The College Planning Manager serves as Class 101’s internal subject-matter expert for the college planning journey. This role supports the Brand President by developing best-in-class curriculum, tools, guidance, and training for franchisees and their College Planners. The College Planning Manager ensures the franchisor provides consistent expertise, modern content, and strategic support so that franchisees can deliver a high-value, high-impact experience to students and families.
This position is ideal for a professional with deep knowledge of college admissions, scholarships, financial planning for college, and the end-to-end student journey. The Manager will evaluate and evolve our college planning programs, elevate the skill set of our franchise network, and help position Class 101 as the industry leader in college planning and coaching.

Key Responsibilities
Subject Matter Expertise & Program Development
  • Serve as Class 101’s primary expert in college admissions, financial aid, scholarships, and student preparation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends, policy changes, admissions criteria shifts, test-optional updates, FAFSA and financial aid changes, and scholarship pathways.
  • Audit current Class 101 curriculum and coaching methods and build a roadmap for updates, replacement content, and modernization.
  • Develop new modules, tools, templates, and resources that improve planner effectiveness and client outcomes.
  • Ensure all curriculum aligns with Class 101’s operating model and brand promise.
Franchisee Training & Support
  • Train and coach new and existing franchisees and their college planners through webinars, in-person sessions, and LMS content.
  • Support the franchisor onboarding experience for new franchisees with expertise across student planning, timelines, and service quality.
  • Host monthly office hours, Q&A sessions, and systemwide calls to address planner questions and elevate competency.
  • Provide guidance to franchise owners on hiring and developing their own College Planners.
Quality Assurance & Operational Excellence
  • Build and maintain standards for the student coaching experience across the franchise network.
  • Review and analyze outcomes and KPIs (ACT/SAT improvement, scholarship dollars, acceptance metrics, meeting cadences, etc.).
  • Identify coaching gaps and work cross-functionally to elevate performance.
  • Partner with Franchise Business Coaches to support locations struggling with execution of the planning model.
Content & Resource Management
  • Create and manage a central library of planning resources, worksheets, guides, and scripts.
  • Work with marketing to ensure content is parent-friendly, student-engaging, and brand-aligned.
  • Maintain a master calendar for key college planning milestones and push regular reminders to the network.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Collaborate closely with the Brand President, marketing, training, and operations teams to support systemwide initiatives.
  • Provide subject-matter input for national partnerships, new revenue streams, and brand positioning.
  • Represent Class 101 at industry conferences, webinars, and internal events as needed.

Qualifications
Required
  • 3–7 years of experience in college admissions counseling, high school counseling, educational consulting, or higher-education enrollment management.
  • Deep understanding of admissions processes, standardized testing, financial aid/FAFSA, scholarships, and college research tools.
  • Strong communication and teaching/facilitation skills; able to train adult learners and present with clarity and authority.
  • Ability to translate expertise into simple, actionable tools for franchisees.
  • High level of professionalism, judgment, and attention to detail.
Preferred
  • Experience within a franchise organization, education services company, or multi-unit environment.
  • Prior experience managing or developing curriculum.
  • Familiarity with youth enrichment or college prep markets.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in education, counseling, or related field preferred.
