About Divorce In Colorado

Divorce In Colorado is a Colorado-based family law firm focused exclusively on divorce and family law matters. We represent clients during some of the most difficult moments of their lives, and we do so with clarity, structure, and professionalism.

We are intentionally building a firm that supports attorneys—not one that burns them out. Our systems, case flow, and leadership are designed to allow family law attorneys to practice at a high level while maintaining long-term sustainability.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Family Law Attorney to join our growing team. This role is well-suited for an attorney who enjoys family law, values structure, and wants to grow within a firm that prioritizes quality representation and attorney well-being.

This position is not volume-driven and not an “eat-what-you-kill” environment. You will be supported by established systems, administrative infrastructure, and consistent client intake.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in divorce and family law matters, including:
  • Dissolution of marriage
  • Parenting time and decision-making
  • Child support and maintenance
  • Property and debt division
  • Manage a reasonable caseload with firm-provided administrative support
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements
  • Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials
  • Conduct client consultations and ongoing client communication
  • Collaborate with firm leadership and support staff
  • Maintain ethical, professional, and client-centered representation

Qualifications

Required

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Colorado
  • 1–7 years of experience practicing family law (or strong litigation background with family law interest)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional courtroom presence
  • Ability to manage deadlines and priorities independently

Preferred

  • Experience handling divorce and parenting cases
  • Familiarity with Colorado family law rules and procedures
  • Negotiation and settlement experience
  • Commitment to long-term professional growth in family law

What We Offer

  • Competitive base compensation with performance incentives
  • Predictable and transparent pay structure
  • Consistent client flow—no business development pressure
  • Reasonable caseload expectations
  • Administrative and operational support
  • Professional, respectful firm culture
  • Hybrid or in-office options depending on location and experience
  • Opportunity for advancement as the firm continues to grow

Who This Role Is For

This role is ideal for an attorney who:

  • Enjoys family law but wants a healthier practice environment
  • Is tired of chaos, poor leadership, or unclear expectations
  • Values structure, accountability, and professionalism
  • Wants to build a sustainable, long-term career in family law

Who This Role Is Not For

This role is not a fit for someone seeking:

  • A volume-based or high-pressure billable environment
  • A solo-practice-style role within a firm
  • An adversarial or ego-driven culture
