Color artist

A Color Artist enhances visual storytelling through the strategic use of color in various media. Responsibilities include color grading, color correction, and creating color palettes, contributing significantly to the overall aesthetic and mood of a project.

Responsibilities:

· Create color concepts and palettes for various projects

· Collaborate with art directors, designers, and other team members to ensure color consistency and visual appeal

· Provide guidance and feedback to junior color artists

· Stay up-to-date with current color trends and techniques

· Create and maintain color libraries

· Ensure all colors are accurately represented in final output

· Provide color correction and adjustments as needed

· Contribute to the development of project timelines and schedules

Requirements:

· Ability to create color palettes that match the style and mood of the project.

· Knowledge of color theory and how it relates to visual storytelling.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to work within tight deadlines.

· Excellent communication skills to collaborate with other artists and team members.

· Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback into work.

· Experience working in the animation, gaming, or film industry is preferred but not required.

· A strong portfolio showcasing previous work and demonstrating a range of coloring styles and techniques.
