Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and safety‑minded Combo Pipe Welder/Pipe Fitter to support the on-site crew in Fremont NE. This role involves hands‑on work in physically demanding environments in an active industrial setting. Key Responsibilities
- Handle all plant process piping projects from start to finish
- Enter confined spaces in accordance with company and regulatory safety procedures
- Work at elevated heights, including on scaffolding, ladders, and platforms
- Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe equipment isolation
- Wear required PPE, including harnesses and protective clothing
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and assist with equipment inspections
- Communicate effectively with plant personnel
- Adhere to all company policies, OSHA regulations, and site‑specific safety requirements
Qualifications
- Welding, grinding, cutting - TIG/Stick/MIG
- Process piping, fitting, valve replacement knowledge a must
- Ability to work at significant heights from time to time
- Comfortable working on scaffolding and elevated structures
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, climbing
- Willing and able to wear required PPE
- Strong commitment to safety and following established procedures
- Reliable attendance and ability to work flexible hours as needed
- Previous industrial process piping experience a must
Work Environment
- Industrial grain facilities, including indoor and outdoor settings
- Exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures
- Tasks may require extended periods of standing, climbing, or lifting
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification preferred)
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and plant operators effectively
- Millwright work - may be used to fill in on the millwright crew from time to time
