About the job
Crew Dog is a student-founded collegiate apparel brand launched at Yale in 2023. In two years we've grown to 100+ schools, building a reputation for premium, design-forward merch that actually reflects campus culture. We're not a legacy brand - we move fast, we have a voice, and we're building something real.
This summer, we have one goal: virality. We're building a content machine - mass-producing short-form video filmed across NYC that genuinely resonates with college students nationwide. You'll be one of three interns working together as a tight creative team, executing at volume and iterating fast until we find what hits.
What You'll Do
Three days a week, in-person in NYC, alongside two other content interns:
-
Mondays - Content planning, trend research, scripting hooks and concepts as a team
-
Tuesdays - Shoot day: batch filming across multiple NYC locations, capturing primary content and b-roll
-
Wednesdays -Edit, post, and review performance together - what landed, what didn't, and why
This is a high-output role. You're not making one polished video a week - you're helping build a content pipeline that keeps Crew Dog showing up everywhere, all summer.
This is a PAID role.
Who We're Looking For
We need someone who is genuinely funny - not "I can be funny" funny, but someone with a real comedy background. That means:
-
Lead comedy scriptwriting - You can write a bit, build a premise, and make it land in 15 seconds
-
Humor in scripted speech - You know timing, you know how to write a line that hits out loud
-
Live, unscripted street interviews - You're comfortable walking up to strangers on a NYC sidewalk, improvising on the fly, and making it watchable. You don't freeze. You riff.
-
Improv / stand-up / sketch background - UCB, college comedy groups, open mics, a sketch channel, whatever it is — show us
Beyond comedy, you should also have:
-
Experience making short-form content (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts) - with an audience or results to show for it
-
Strong editing skills: hooks, pacing, retention
-
Fast turnaround ability - shoot it Tuesday, post it Wednesday
-
A collaborative mindset - you're working as part of a three-person team, not solo
-
Genuine interest in college culture, fashion, and campus identity
-
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program
