Commercail Construction Quality Control (CQC) Manager

Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Construction Quality Control (CQC) Manager, where you will lead the three-phase quality assurance and inspection processes for a commercial construction project at Mesa Verde National Park in Southwestern Colorado. This pivotal role ensures that all construction activities meet rigorous quality standards, contractual obligations, and safety regulations. As a CQC Manager, you will drive continuous improvement, uphold compliance, and collaborate closely with project teams to deliver exceptional results on time and within scope. Your expertise will help shape the success of large-scale construction initiatives, fostering a culture of excellence and precision on this project.

Duties

  • The Construction Quality Control Plan will include three phases of controls, to be managed by the CCQ, for each definable feature of the project's work. The three phases of control are the Preparatory Phase, the Initial Phase, and the Follow-Up Phase.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans tailored to each construction project, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct detailed quality inspections at various stages of construction to verify compliance with design specifications, codes, and safety protocols.
  • Collect, analyze, and document data related to construction quality metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Oversee construction site activities to ensure adherence to quality control procedures, including materials testing and workmanship evaluations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues promptly and effectively.
  • Review contracts and technical documentation to confirm scope accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain meticulous records of inspections, non-conformance reports, corrective actions, and compliance documentation for audit readiness.

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction site management with a focus on quality control or inspection roles within commercial construction projects.
  • Must have completed the USACE Contract Quality Control Course with the issued Certificate.
  • Prior experience working as the CQC Manager on $10M+ size federal projects, or prior work for the federal government in their Quality Control program, is required.
  • Strong understanding of construction management principles, including contract administration, project coordination, and preparing CQC plans
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed analysis of construction processes and identify root causes of quality issues.
  • Familiarity with construction inspection techniques, materials testing procedures, and relevant safety regulations.
  • Excellent data collection skills coupled with the ability to interpret quantitative information for decision-making purposes.
  • Prior experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality assurance.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
