We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Commercial and Residential Title Examiner/Underwriter to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Conduct meticulous title searches for commercial and residential properties, collecting relevant data from public records, legal documents, and other sources to verify ownership and identify encumbrances.
- Analyze title reports to assess potential risks related to liens, easements, or other claims that could impact property transfer or financing.
- Underwrite real estate transactions by evaluating financial documents, appraisals, and legal information to determine insurability and compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with attorneys, lenders, agents, and clients to clarify title issues, negotiate resolutions, and facilitate efficient transaction closures.
- Prepare detailed title reports and underwriting decisions while maintaining accuracy in documentation for audit purposes.
- Apply risk analysis techniques using financial concepts such as cash flow analysis, credit analysis, and financial modeling to evaluate property value and borrower credibility.
- Stay current on industry regulations, legal requirements, and market trends related to mortgage servicing, loan processing, and real estate finance to ensure compliance and best practices.
Experience
- Proven experience in title examination or underwriting within the real estate or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of mortgage servicing processes, loan origination procedures, and banking operations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis tools including financial software for data collection, forecasting models, and quantitative research methods.
- Knowledge of technical accounting principles relevant to real estate transactions and fraud prevention techniques.
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and financial data accurately.
- Familiarity with tax regulations affecting property valuation and ownership structures is a plus.
- Ability to perform quantitative analysis with precision while maintaining a high level of attention to detail in fast-paced environments. Pay: $60,000.00 - $88,370.61 per year
