We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Category Assistant to support our Commercial Operations team in a fast-paced Quick com. This role is pivotal in managing and maintaining accurate databases, supporting the buying team, and performing essential administrative and secretarial tasks.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain product and vendor databases with precision and accuracy.
- Assist the buying team in sourcing, supplier coordination, and ensuring timely follow-ups.
- Provide personal assistance to senior management, including calendar management, travel arrangements, and correspondence.
- Handle secretarial duties such as organizing meetings, taking minutes, and managing communication.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless commercial operations.
- Ensure timely updates of product information, pricing, and promotional details in the system.
- Support retail initiatives, including new product launches and category expansionsion.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in database management.
- Prior experience in retail, FMCG, or grocery operations is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
