Our office is located in Northwest, Indiana, approximately 35 miles from downtown Chicago.

Qualifications:

The position Commercial Auto Insurance Senior Liability Adjuster is an in office position and requires experience in handling all aspects of high exposure liability cases. Must have great communication skills and be capable of making tough decisions and not be afraid to as required. The following skills and qualifications will be necessary:

• Manage a portfolio of high-value, complex casualty claims.
• Analyze policy coverage on standard and manuscript forms, identify coverage issues, and draft coverage position letters when required.
• Operate within designated monetary authority for reserves, settlements, and payments.
• Prepare timely and accurate large loss reports and keep management informed of developments on severe claims.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, brokers, and internal colleagues

· Strong analytical skills, including the ability to review medical records, expert reports, and investigative materials.

· Detail-oriented with strong policy interpretation capabilities.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Independently resolve significant exposure claims within delegated authority levels.
• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve complex commercial casualty claims, utilizing external service providers where appropriate.

Applicants must be able to jump right into the role from the onset immediately stepping in and assuming responsibility for all claims related activity. Prior experience as a Senior Liability Adjuster preferred but will consider the right individual who has demonstrated skills and at least 10 years Commercial Auto Liability experience. Must be able to communicate effectively with senior management. Superior verbal and written skills are required and familiarity with Microsoft Access-based database software is also a plus.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
