Commercial Catering Engineer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Catering Engineer to join our team. This successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing a wide range of commercial catering equipment across various sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your technical expertise within a dynamic environment, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. A strong background in mechanical systems, schematics, and equipment repair is essential, along with leadership qualities to oversee maintenance projects and support junior team members. Company van and MB provided, applicant must have a full clean driving licence.

The hours are starting at 8am finish at 4-30pm, monday to friday, no weekends, company policy is very much poets day. Duties

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on commercial catering appliances, including ovens, fryers, dishwashers, and refrigeration units.
• Diagnose faults using schematics and technical manuals, implementing effective solutions promptly.
• Lead maintenance tasks and coordinate with clients to minimise downtime of essential kitchen equipment.
• Install new catering equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs, and parts used for each site.
• Proven experience in mechanical systems repair within the catering or hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of schematics and technical drawings related to commercial kitchen equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently under pressure.
• Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field are preferred but not essential if complemented by substantial practical experience.
