Duties

• Safely operate commercial trucks such as front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump truck, tractor-trailer, and flatbed vehicles to collect and transport waste materials.
• Load and unload waste containers efficiently using mechanical equipment like front loaders, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols.
• Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns; perform basic maintenance or report repairs as needed.
• Drive in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, maintaining a clean driving record throughout your employment.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to waste collection, ensuring proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily routes, pickups, drop-offs, and vehicle inspections for operational transparency.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely pickups and deliveries while adhering to safety standards and company policies.

Skills

• Proven experience operating commercial trucks such as front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or flatbeds.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Valid CDL B license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during waste collection activities.
• Skilled in driving various types of heavy-duty vehicles under different conditions while maintaining safety at all times.
• Familiarity with load & unload procedures for different waste containers and roll-off systems.
