Commercial Construction Estimator

Overview

NewEra Construction is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Estimator to support our growing volume of projects. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and working closely with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure competitive and profitable bids.

Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• Commercial construction estimating experience REQUIRED
• 5+ years of estimating experience in construction REQUIRED
• Procore experience REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and scope of work
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate pricing for materials, labor, and subcontractor costs
• Solicit, review, and level bids from subcontractors and suppliers
• Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms
• Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and clients to review project requirements and refine estimates
• Evaluate project risks, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure estimates align with project budgets
• Assist in bid preparation, scope development, and proposal submissions
• Monitor cost control throughout the project lifecycle, tracking changes and supporting contract management
• Maintain organized documentation of estimates, bids, and project data using Procore and internal systems

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial construction estimating
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and scopes of work
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs and developing accurate cost estimates
• Solid understanding of construction site operations, project management processes, and contract administration
• Knowledge of cost control, pricing strategies, and budget management throughout project phases
• Excellent negotiation skills with subcontractors and vendors to secure competitive pricing
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
