At Resolve, we’re building Agentic AI that empowers software engineers by automating production engineering and SRE workflows. Our models deeply understand production systems — from code to databases — taking on repetitive, high-pressure tasks and handling critical incidents autonomously, so engineers can focus on building.
Our founders (Spiros Xanthos and Mayank Agarwal) are the core creators of OpenTelemetry and led Splunk Observability. They have had 2 successful exits to Splunk and VMware.
We raised a $35M Seed round from top-tier investors like Greylock, Unusual Ventures, Jeff Dean (Chief Scientist, Google DeepMind), Thomas Dohmke (CEO, GitHub), Matt Garman (CEO, AWS), Reid Hoffman (Founder, LinkedIn) and Fei Fei Li (Professor, Stanford).
Joining Resolve AI at this stage of our journey is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. You’ve already decided that you want to work at an AI-native company that’s pushing the limits of how engineers work, and now you’re looking for the right one.
As Commercial Counsel at Resolve AI, you’ll be a foundational legal partner supporting our go-to-market motion and helping scale our commercial legal infrastructure as the company grows. You’ll work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Security, Finance, and leadership to enable the business to move quickly while managing risk thoughtfully.
Partner with Resolve’s sales and business teams to draft, negotiate, and close inbound and outbound commercial agreements, including customer, partner, and vendor-initiated contracts, while balancing speed, risk, and business impact.
Review, draft, and negotiate NDAs, master subscription and services agreements (MSAs/MSSAs), order forms, SaaS and cloud services agreements, data processing and security addenda, partner agreements, and customer licenses to use the Resolve AI platform.
Work closely with Product, Engineering, Security, Finance, and leadership to ensure agreements align with internal policies, compliance requirements, and company objectives.
Translate legal guidance into practical, business-oriented advice that enables teams to move quickly and confidently.
Build and maintain scalable contracting frameworks, templates, and playbooks that improve consistency and efficiency as Resolve grows.
Advise on regulatory and compliance considerations related to AI-driven and autonomous systems, including data usage, security, and customer risk allocation.
Improve legal processes and tooling, including leveraging automation and AI to increase speed, quality, and visibility.
J.D. from an accredited law school, active membership in at least one U.S. state bar, and ability to practice in California.
4+ years of relevant experience supporting a high growth SaaS, enterprise software business, or AI company.
Strong experience negotiating commercial and technology agreements in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable operating independently with strong judgment and a business-first mindset.
Clear, effective communicator who collaborates well with technical and non-technical teams.
Curiosity and enthusiasm for new technologies, including experience supporting AI-driven products or leveraging AI tools in legal workflows.
Highly organized with strong project management skills.
We are an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, disability, age, and other characteristics protected by law.
