Commercial Door Installer

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Commercial Door Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial doors and related hardware across various construction sites and commercial buildings. Your expertise will ensure that doors are installed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, contributing to the safety and functionality of our clients’ facilities. Duties

• Install commercial doors, including metal, glass, wood, and specialty doors, following blueprints and schematics accurately
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to complete installations
• Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for door hanging, frame installation, and hardware setup
• Read and interpret construction schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation
• Conduct door adjustments, caulking, trim carpentry, lock installation, and fixture setup to ensure proper operation
• Collaborate with other trades such as electricians or locksmiths during remodeling or renovation projects
• Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols and ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored

Requirements

• Proven experience in glass installation, metal stud framing, or door hanging within a construction or remodeling setting
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical drawings confidently
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on construction sites
• Knowledge of locksmithing, electrical systems related to door hardware or fixtures is a plus
• Prior experience with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation required
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in measuring and aligning components
• Valid construction site experience with familiarity in remodeling projects or carpentry work is preferred
