Job Summary

Experienced Garage Door Installer — Subcontract

$300/day | Steady 5-day work | Go home when the job’s done

Looking for an experienced installer who wants consistent work without chasing it. You bring your vehicle, tools, and liability insurance — we bring the jobs. Gas reimbursed. Specialty tools provided. Some days are long, some days you’re done by noon. Pay’s the same either way.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and troubleshoot a wide range of commercial doors including steel, glass, metal, and wood doors
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects
• Use hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, welders, caulking guns, and fabrication equipment to complete installations
• Perform heavy lifting of door components, frames, hardware, and related materials safely and efficiently
• Conduct door hanging, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and trim carpentry to ensure proper fit and finish
• Apply mechanical knowledge for door hardware installation including locks, fixtures, hinges, and locksmithing tasks
• Complete fabrication tasks as needed for custom door or frame modifications on-site or in the shop
• Read schematics and electrical diagrams for fixture installation or electrical connections when required
• Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols on construction sites
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members to meet deadlines and quality standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience in glass installation, welding, carpentry, or related construction trades with a focus on commercial doors
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and mechanical systems relevant to door installation
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision during installation processes
• Experience with remodeling projects involving door hanging or fixture installation is preferred
• Knowledge of electrical systems related to door operators or access control is a plus
• Construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and teamwork skills
• Basic locksmithing skills or locksmith certification is advantageous
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to project needs
