Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions across designated routes
• Load and unload freight using forklifts or other equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling of goods such as refrigerated items, flatbed cargo, or tanker loads
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and route documentation in accordance with federal and state laws
• Deliver freight efficiently to various destinations while adhering to delivery schedules and route plans
• Assist with securing loads on flatbeds or roll-off trucks to prevent shifting during transit
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly

Requirements

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record
• Experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred but not required; training available for qualified candidates
• Proven experience driving tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, or dump trucks in a commercial setting
• Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or manual methods; experience with roll-off trucks is a plus
• Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety regulations governing commercial transportation
• Strong physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and perform load securement tasks
• Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with dispatchers and clients
