Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across diverse routes. Duties

  • Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling of various cargo types such as refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, or freight requiring special equipment.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify truck condition, including brakes, lights, tires, and load securement.
  • Plan efficient routes for timely deliveries across multiple locations while managing delivery schedules proactively.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and drop-offs, providing excellent customer service.
  • Assist with the maintenance of trucks and trailers to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.

Experience

  • Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience operating tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty trucks in a commercial setting.
  • Hands-on experience with manual transmission trucks preferred.
  • Familiarity with various types of freight including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
  • Delivery driver experience involving load & unload procedures and route driving across urban or rural areas.
  • Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when necessary for cargo handling.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60.00 - $62.00 per mile
