Duties

• Safely operate CDL A commercial vehicles such as flatbeds, roll offs, and dry vans
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before hitting the road
• Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
• Manage documentation related to deliveries, including manifests, bills of lading, and delivery logs with accuracy and attention to detail
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during transit
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicles to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety standards

Skills

• Proven experience operating various types of commercial trucks
• Valid CDL A license with endorsements relevant to the equipment operated
• Strong driving skills with a focus on safety and compliance with transportation regulations
• Experience with manual transmission vehicles preferred for greater versatility on different truck types
• Familiarity with route driving techniques for both local deliveries and long-haul trips
