Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating tractor-trailers to deliver freight efficiently and securely across designated routes. Your expertise in driving various types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across local and regional routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and security
• Drive specialized trucks including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks as required for different deliveries
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before and after each trip
• Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery schedules while considering traffic conditions and delivery priorities
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and any unforeseen issues during routes

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience in commercial driving, including route driving, freight delivery, and load & unload operations
• Familiarity with operating manual transmission trucks and various vehicle types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting cargo or operating forklifts when necessary
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to truck driving and freight handling
• Excellent navigation skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently
• Prior experience with delivery driver roles or similar positions is highly preferred
