Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to deliver freight efficiently across various routes. Your expertise in handling different types of trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and freight loads, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling of sensitive or heavy cargo
• Transport a variety of freight types including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and roll-off containers to multiple destinations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs and ensure roadworthiness
• Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal paths to meet delivery schedules and minimize delays
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in compliance with federal and state regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery times and resolve any issues promptly

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL A license, including route driving and delivery driver experience
• Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks
• Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or manual techniques while adhering to safety protocols
• Knowledge of federal regulations governing commercial driving hours and safety standards
• Strong understanding of truck maintenance procedures and vehicle inspection routines
• Excellent navigation skills with the ability to plan efficient routes for timely deliveries
• Physical stamina for long hours on the road and handling heavy cargo in diverse conditions
