Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable CDL Local Heavy Equipment Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating our lowboy truck and trailer, and a rollback, to transport heavy equipment from job site to job site. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse routes, handle specialized equipment, and contribute to the smooth operation of our logistics network. This position is salaried and averages 25-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities & Requirements

· Individuals must be 22 years of age with 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience without a trainer.

· Posses or be able to obtain a Hazmat endorsement for operating a CDL Lube Truck in a backup position.

· Safely operate lowboy truck, trailer, and roll-back truck for local deliveries.

· Load and unload heavy equipment in accordance with safety guidelines and procedures.

· Drive route-specific vehicles with manual transmissions across designated local routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.

· Efficiently and securely transport heavy equipment to job sites.

· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly.

· Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and inspection reports in compliance with regulatory requirements.

· Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and pickups while ensuring timely service.

· Qualifications

· Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A CDL) with appropriate endorsements for heavy equipment operation and multiple trailer types.

· Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on heavy equipment deliveries required.

· Strong knowledge of route driving best practices, along with safety procedures for transporting heavy equipment.

· Excellent driving record with a commitment to safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

· Must pass a DOT Drug Test & Physical & maintain a drug-free work zone.

· Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks and perform inspections; comfortable working in varied weather conditions.
