Commercial Driver's License A Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in driving different types of trucks, including Lowboys , flatbeds, Demo , Walking floors, log trailer and dump trucks, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an essential part of our logistics operations, supporting the movement of goods with professionalism and precision. Will need to have experience in operating and loading heavy equipment such as excavators and track loaders. Equipment hauling experience preferred.

Duties

• Load and unload cargo efficiently
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with federal and state regulations
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and incident reports for each trip
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries
• Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit and adhere to safety protocols at all times

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL A license
• Skilled in driving manual transmission vehicles with a strong understanding of different truck types such as flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, and dump trucks
• Knowledge of freight handling procedures including load & unload operations using forklifts or manual methods
• Familiarity with route driving strategies to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency
• Ability to operate specialized equipment like forklifts safely when required for loading or unloading cargo
• Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving, including hours-of-service rules and vehicle maintenance requirements
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, customers, and team members will need to have experience in operating and loading heavy equipment such as excavators and track loaders.
• Equipment hauling experience preferred.
