Duties

  • Safely operate a variety of heavy-duty trucks including belly dumps, flatbeds, and tanker trucks transport aggregates and other freight.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all regulations.
  • Manage route driving efficiently, adhering to scheduled delivery times while maintaining safety standards on the road.
  • Verify cargo loads for accuracy and securements before departure; ensure proper documentation accompanies each shipment.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or any issues encountered during transit.
  • Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, vehicle maintenance reports, and safety inspections for compliance purposes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with tractor-trailers such as dump trucks, flatbeds, tanker trucks, or roll-off trucks.
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle types operated (e.g., Class A ).
  • Demonstrated ability to drive manual transmission vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Experience with freight delivery, route driving, load & unload procedures, and managing freight documentation.
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to trucking operations and material handling equipment like forklifts.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy loads and working in outdoor environments under various weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
