Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver-Class B Tri-Axle Dump Truck Driver to join our local construction team. This energetic role involves operating a tri-axle dump truck to transport materials efficiently across construction sites and job locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to handle heavy equipment operation with precision. Duties
- Safely operate a Class B CDL tri-axle dump truck to deliver materials such as gravel, dirt, asphalt, and other construction aggregates to designated sites.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the dump truck and ensure all safety protocols are followed before each shift.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials using heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, dozers, graders, and water trucks when necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, daily reports, and communicate effectively with site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
- Support construction activities by operating or assisting with heavy equipment like Caterpillar machinery, horizontal drilling rigs, or tanker trucks as needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines related to heavy equipment operation and construction site protocols to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the dump truck and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating tri-axle dump trucks in a construction environment.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, backhoes, and horizontal drilling machinery.
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations and familiarity with Caterpillar equipment is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate additional heavy machinery such as paving machines or tanker trucks when required.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and transportation within construction zones.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
