Commercial Electrician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical installations and renovations within commercial settings. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. The Commercial Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical work meets industry standards and complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Duties

· Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings.

· Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures.

· Perform troubleshooting on electrical systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions.

· Work collaboratively with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met.

· Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and codes.

· Must have electrical tools such as voltmeters and other diagnostic equipment to assess system performance.

· Renovate existing electrical systems as needed to improve functionality or efficiency.

· Provide guidance and support to apprentices or less experienced electricians.

Skills

· Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.

· Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations.

· Experience working as an industrial electrician or in similar roles within commercial settings.

· Familiarity with low voltage systems and their applications.

· Ability to perform physical tasks associated with construction sites, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

· Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and compliance.

· Experience as a maintenance person is a plus, demonstrating versatility in various maintenance tasks.
