We are looking for a skilled and detailed-oriented Commercial Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for managing commercial activities , cost control, contract administration, budgeting , and coordination with project teams to ensure successful project execution. Sell goods for wholesalers or manufacturers where technical or scientific knowledge is required in such areas as the precast products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifies customer needs and incorporates them in strategic marketing initiatives through continuous contact with clients and professional associations
  • Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale
  • Gathers industry intelligence, monitors trends/methodologies used by competitors, architects, developers and contractors
  • Gathering market forecast and customer information
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails
  • Cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
  • Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales; on price, cost, delivery and specifications with customers and managers
  • Conducts problem analysis for existing and new marketing directions with appropriate risk analysis
  • Directs Sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly
  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates
  • Represents factory at trade association meetings to promote product
  • Meets with key clients, delivering sales presentations and assisting sales representative with negotiating and closing deals
  • Assists other departments with organization to prepare manuals and technical publications
  • Prepares periodic sales report and directs product research and development
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition
  • Attending team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues
  • Follow up on collections with their clients.
  • Coordinate with the estimation department and takes charge of pricing & estimation of new projects /inquiries
  • The prices estimated by the estimators will be checked by the planning & estimation manager, but the final quotation / estimation / tender should be co-approved by the planning & estimation manager and commercial manager
  • To coordinate with the estimation and commercial manager the time, production, planning and cost that estimator has allocated for the project
  • Follows up payments (interim & final, claims against the additional works and lost time) in coordination with commercial manager, in cast of special relationship with the client
  • Keep update records and proper filing.
  • Submit half yearly and yearly budget to the commercial Manager.

Qualification Requirements:

  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • Experience Certificate in Estimation construction business, precast industry.

Work Experience:

  • 5-7 Years in precast products Technical, marketing & sales of which at least in industrial field.

Technical Competencies:

  • Strong Knowledge of Contracts, cost control, and project Management.
  • Knowledge of precast products.
  • Knowledge of market and prospective clients.
  • Able to maintain good relationship with client
  • Develop exciting clients and attract new clients.
  • Assess the cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services.
  • Ability to demonstrate the following competencies: analytical, design, problem solving, project management, technical skills, customer service, communication, teamwork, leader.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficient knowledge in all Microsoft Office Programs
