About Us

Crowe Fence & Deck is a premium fencing and outdoor living company serving Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts. With over 40 years in business, we are known for quality craftsmanship, professional execution, and long-term relationships.

We are expanding our Commercial Fence Division and are looking for a driven Commercial Sales & Project Manager to help aggressively grow this side of the business.

This role is built for someone who understands competitive commercial bidding, long sales cycles, and managing complex projects and who wants to be rewarded heavily for results.

About the Role

This position combines commercial business development, estimating, and project management. You will be responsible for sourcing, bidding, winning, and managing commercial fence projects across general contractors, property managers, educational institutions, and municipal/government clients.

Sales cycles can be long and competitive, often spanning many months or longer than a year. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, disciplined, and motivated by large wins and meaningful commission upside.

You will own projects from initial pursuit through final completion.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Sales & Business Development

  • Build and grow your commercial fencing pipeline
  • Develop relationships with general contractors, property managers, and institutional clients
  • Track and manage long-cycle opportunities, including multi-year pursuits
  • Review bid invitations, drawings, and specifications
  • Prepare accurate, competitive proposals and bid submissions
  • Attend pre-bid meetings, site walks, and scope reviews
  • Compete effectively in bid-heavy environments while protecting margins

Estimating & Pre Construction

  • Perform site visits, field measurements, and plan reviews
  • Build detailed material takeoffs and labor estimates
  • Develop layouts and drawings using iPad-based design tools (training provided)
  • Manage bid revisions, addenda, and clarifications
  • Coordinate internally to ensure feasibility and pricing accuracy

Project Management & Execution

  • Serve as the primary point of contact once a project is awarded
  • Collaborate on scheduling, material planning, and submittals internally
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients throughout execution
  • Manage change orders, scope adjustments, and closeout packages
  • Ensure projects are delivered professionally and profitably

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong commercial construction or fencing industry experience (required)
  • Commercial or institutional project experience (strongly preferred)
  • Comfort with competitive bids and extended sales cycles
  • Ability to read plans, specifications, and site conditions
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through
  • Clear, professional communication skills
  • Comfortable owning both the sale and the project
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable working within CRM and estimating systems
  • Motivated by performance-based compensation and long-term upside

Not a Fit If

  • You prefer quick, transactional sales only
  • Long sales cycles or delayed wins are discouraging
  • You are uncomfortable managing complex projects after the sale
  • You struggle with organization, documentation, or deadlines
  • You prefer fixed compensation over performance-based upside

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $75,000
  • Uncapped commission heavily weighted toward performance
  • Realistic annual earnings for high performers: $150,000–$200,000+
  • Larger wins and repeat commercial accounts drive outsized upside
  • Company vehicle provided
  • Tablet/iPad, computer, and phone stipend
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid holidays and paid time off
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Company-paid life insurance
