Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for commercial flooring projects by analyzing plans, specifications, and site conditions
• Utilize estimating software tools such as RFMS
• Engage in negotiation with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to review project scope, schedules, and budget constraints
• Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, gather measurements, and verify project requirements for precise estimating
• Monitor project costs throughout the bidding process and during construction to support effective cost control measures
• Assist in contract review and management, ensuring all terms align with project goals and company policies

Qualifications

• Proven experience in estimating with a focus on commercial flooring or related trades
• RFMS knowledge
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, and project management processes
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards
• Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into on-the-ground realities affecting estimates.
• Familiarity with cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and budget management within the construction industry

Pay: $52,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
