Duties
- Assist with the installation of glass, windows, doors, and fixtures according to construction plans and technical drawings
- Handle glass materials carefully, ensuring proper measurement, cutting, and placement for quality control
- Support the team with framing carpentry, metal stud framing, trim carpentry, and caulking tasks to prepare surfaces for glazing
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, assemble, and install various construction components
- Perform heavy lifting of glass materials and construction supplies while following safety protocols
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to assist with precise measurements and installation processes
- Maintain a clean worksite by organizing materials, disposing of debris, and ensuring safety standards are met
Requirements
- Basic understanding of construction site practices and safety procedures
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Familiarity with hand tools such as saws, drills, levels, and measuring tapes
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during work shifts
- Strong attention to detail for measurement accuracy and quality control in glass installation
- Prior experience in construction, carpentry, handyman work or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Willingness to learn about glass materials handling, fixture installation, caulking techniques, and interpreting construction plans
