Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex HVAC systems in commercial properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal climate control, energy efficiency, and safety across a variety of commercial environments. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic instruments.
- Perform plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and ammonia refrigeration handling where applicable.
- Weld or fabricate components as needed for system repairs or modifications.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician in commercial HVAC installation and repair environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design documents accurately.
- Experience with plumbing systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), appliances repair, and property maintenance is highly desirable.
- Skilled in equipment repair including boilers, pumps, fans, ductwork, and other mechanical components.
- Knowledge of welding techniques and safety procedures related to HVAC work.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; a <PERSON> driver license is preferred for site visits.
- Additional skills such as welding certification, boiler operation experience, or mechanic background will be considered advantageous. Pay: $30.07 - $36.21 per hour
