Commercial HVAC and Refrigeration Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in refrigeration systems, particularly commercial refrigeration, and possess mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain various HVAC systems. This role involves field service work, requiring the technician to drive a work truck to client locations and perform installations, repairs, and maintenance on refrigeration equipment.

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Plumb and connect refrigeration lines as required for system installations.
• Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with clients during service calls.
• Document all work performed and maintain accurate service records.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure efficient system layouts and installations.
• Stay updated on industry standards and safety regulations related to refrigeration.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or in a similar field service role.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for van driving responsibilities.
• Ability to plumb and connect various types of refrigeration lines effectively.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and their maintenance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for effective customer interaction.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed for service calls, and to be on-call during certain weekends, as needed (with overtime and on-call pay).
