Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial HVAC Construction Project/Field Supervisor to lead and oversee, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) installation projects within the commercial construction sector. This role involves managing on-site operations, coordinating with subcontractors and clients, ensuring project timelines and budgets are met, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction management skills, extensive field supervision experience, and a thorough understanding of HVAC systems, schematics, and construction processes. • Lead and supervise all aspects of commercial HVAC construction projects on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Coordinate daily activities among subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain smooth workflow and timely project completion.
• Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to verify installation procedures and ensure compliance with design intent.
• Monitor project progress using construction management software such as ProCore or Primavera P6; update schedules regularly to reflect current status.
• Conduct quality control inspections to verify that installations meet industry standards, code requirements (including OSHA), and client expectations.
• Manage project budgets by tracking costs, reviewing contracts, and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
• Utilize tools like Ohmmeter for electrical testing and ensure all work aligns with safety protocols including OSHA regulations.
• Prepare detailed reports on project status, issues encountered, and resolution strategies; communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Oversee construction site safety practices; enforce OSHA standards and conduct safety meetings to promote a safe working environment.
• Ensure proper documentation of all project activities, change orders, RFIs (Request for Information), and closeout procedures. Qualifications
• Proven experience supervising commercial HVAC construction projects with a strong background in field management.
• Extensive knowledge of construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with construction estimating, budgeting, contracts administration, and project scheduling techniques.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and HVAC system components.
• Hands-on experience with construction site operations including safety protocols (OSHA compliance), quality control, and managing subcontractors.
• Skilled in using tools like Ohmmeter for electrical testing; capable of troubleshooting electrical systems on-site.
• Excellent management skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
• Construction site experience in commercial settings; familiarity with pipeline installation is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as OSHA 10/30-hour training preferred; additional certifications in construction management or HVAC systems are advantageous.
