Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial HVAC Installer to join our team and deliver top-tier heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions for commercial properties. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency. Responsibilities
- Install commercial HVAC systems according to schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design specifications, ensuring precise placement and secure connections.
- Conduct system start-up procedures, testing equipment with tools such as ohmmeters and refrigerant gauges to verify proper operation.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and electrical diagrams to facilitate accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and service on HVAC equipment including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), and related mechanical components.
- Utilize welding techniques and plumbing skills to assemble ductwork, piping, and other system components as needed.
- Diagnose issues using mechanical knowledge and field service experience; repair or replace faulty parts efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including service reports, schematics updates, and maintenance logs; communicate effectively with team members and clients throughout each project.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or service technician roles within the HVAC industry; familiarity with commercial systems is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems, including refrigeration cycles and ammonia refrigeration processes.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, appliance repair, boiler operation, welding, and property maintenance.
- Experience with HVAC design principles and equipment repair techniques.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work in the field independently or as part of a team; excellent problem-solving skills are essential.
- Physical capability to perform installation tasks that involve lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, bending, and working in confined spaces.
